NetSmart provides free Wi-Fi for Tauranga City Airshow 2012

Once again, NetSmart will be exhibiting at the Tauranga City Airshow on 28th – 29th January. If you are planning on coming we would love to see you, so come and say ‘hi’ at stand 187.

This year we have been asked to provide a WiFi network for the show and we’ve decided to offer free internet access to visitors – so don’t forget to bring your mobile device (smartphone, laptop or your tablet PC) with you. All you need to do is come to our stand No.187  during the show for a free Wi-Fi voucher. We will also have computers available for browsing the internet at our tent.

Ultrafast Broadband – the new fibre network

As I am sure you will know by now, there is a new fibre network being built across the country – a public/private investment aimed at accelerating the roll-out of Ultra Fast Broadband to 75% of New Zealanders within 10 years.

We understand the fibre build in Tauranga is progressing well and is presently on schedule. We expect to be in a position to connect the first customers by April 2012. However, the ‘GPON’ service (which we expect to be the most popular) will not be available until July 2012.

NetSmart is in regular contact with Ultrafast Fibre Ltd (the company established to build and operate the fibre network in Tauranga, Hamilton and some other areas). We were one of the first Retail Service Providers to signup and believe that fibre will bring a host of new opportunities – particularly for business customers.

To find out if your business will be covered in the first build take a look at the following web site:

http://www.ultrafastbroadband.co.nz/coverage-areas

Note the dates above are build dates, services will be available for purchase some time after these dates.

Feel free to contact us for more information on fibre and to find out how you can get your business ready for this new technology.
